Faqs for inflatable mannequin

1.Can we order custom size or color torso forms?

Attention: open in a new window. PDF

Mannequins and torso forms are all available in custom size, change the thickness of vinyl PVC as well as the products colors, however, it should base on the quantity for customized mannequin or torso forms of your order.

2. How do I inflate a display form?

Attention: open in a new window. PDF

Locate the inflation valve on the form.  Not that forms with heads have a separate valve for the head.  Pull the valve out of the locked position so that it extends out of the form and remove the plug.  The valve has a self closing lock valve (slit/opening) located inside and at the base of the valve.  This lock valve needs to be "pinched" open for inflation to occur.  The lock valve is usually located opposite the hing that attaches the plug.
To inflate by mouth, pinch the lower portion of the valve while blowing air in.  Keep in mind that the torso forms hold a large amount of air and will take some time and effort to inflate by mouth.  WARNING:  Do not overfill.  Fill until just firm.  Too much air could cause the seams to fail and rupture.
To inflate by air pump, insert the small nozzle attachment into the valve and attempt to lodge the tip of the
manikin3nozzle in the lock valve and the base of the valve.  This will allow air to flow freely into the display form.  In some cases it may be necessary to pinch the lock valve while holding the nozzle in place to allow air to flow freely into the display form.

WARNING:
1) Do not overfill.  Fill until just firm.  Too much air can cause the seams to fail and rupture.
2) If using an air compressor or compressed air of any kind, fill the form slowly - Do not overfill.  Fill until just firm.  Too much air can cause the seams to fail and rupture.

3. How do I deflate a display form?

Attention: open in a new window. PDF

It is highly recommended that you use one of the following methods to deflated your inflatable form:
1).  Use a pump -  most low-pressure pumps allow you to attach the adapters to the air intake and use the pump to deflate your form.  This will pull the air out of the form very effectively and allow you to
manikin5deflate it completely without putting pressure on the seams.  Close valve for storage and refold.
2).  Use the deflation sticks included with the patch kit.  Insert one of the sticks into the lock valve at the base of the inflation valve.  Once in place with air escaping the valve, lay the form flat and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes.  During this time, most of the air will escape.  Gently apply pressure to the form by folding it towards the valve to remove remaining air.  Close valve for storage and refold.

4. How long will a form stay inflated?

Attention: open in a new window. PDF

Inflatable mannequins are designed to stay inflated indefinitely; however, there are several factors that can cause them to soften over time:
1).  Make sure that the inflation valve is closed completely - plunger firmly seated and in recessed position.
2).  Changes in temperature can cause the form to expand and contract, forcing air out. A constant temperature (+/- 10 degrees) is necessary for best results.
3).  Damage - inflatable mannequins must be cared for properly, with care taken to prevent damage.  Small holes may be repaired with a dab of glue and larger punctures will require a larger patch.

5. How to remove the wrinkles on mannequins?

Attention: open in a new window. PDF

Most of tiny fold wrinkles on mannequin could be removed in few hours when you blowing up the mannequin. The other wrinkles could not be removed because of the specialty of inflatables. Please do not try to inflate more air to eliminate the fold wrinkles.
